Best Dentists
in Dallas

D Magazine’s confidential poll is sent to over 2,000 local dentists, asking them to recommend their peers in each specialty. Only dentists with a valid dental license can vote, and only those with a valid license are named winners. An esteemed panel of dentists, representing a range of specialties, reviews the final list. Once the list is finalized, we investigate disciplinary status and vet each winner’s dental license. We then turn the list over to our sales team. They cannot add to or subtract from the list, but they can sell ads to the winners. A special advertising section containing the winners who purchased ads is then put together and displayed somewhere else in the magazine. If you have a dentist you like and trust, and his or her name is not on this list, we recommend you stick with your D.D.S. You may see his or her name on the next list of Best Dentists in Dallas.

STEP 1

+ NOMINATIONS

D Magazine mails and emails letters to thousands of local dentists from our online directory and email database, inviting them to nominate their peers on dmagazine.com.

Nominating dentists must:

• Have a valid dental license.
• Currently practice within our geographic boundaries (view here).
• Limit their nominations to a maximum of three dentists per category.

STEP 2

+ VETTING PROCESS

Votes are tallied and sorted by D Magazine’s editorial staff.

The staff does not count:

• Self-nominations
• Duplicate ballots
• Nominees outside of our geographic boundaries (view here)

STEP 3

+ INDEPENDENT PANEL REVIEW

The remaining votes are vetted by an anonymous panel of esteemed dentists across a variety of specialties. The panel changes periodically to ensure consideration is impartial.

D Magazine editors finalize the list by verifying each dentist’s:

• Dental license
• Disciplinary status

STEP 4

+ NOTIFICATION

We mail and email congratulation letters to the Best Dentists in Dallas.

After notification, our sales team is allowed to view the list and offer advertising opportunities to winners.

We play fair:

• Advertising dollars have zero impact on the creation of this list.
• Best Dentists are featured in our August issue and marked as a Best in our online directory whether they advertise or not.
