Best Doctors in Collin County

Every year we ask esteemed members of the medical community to nominate their peers for public recognition. Our question is simple: to whom would you send your own family members for care? We’re looking for Collin County doctors who are both exceptionally skilled and compassionate.

A panel of esteemed healthcare professionals, as well as our editorial team, will review the nominations. Winners will be featured in the April 2019 issue of D Magazine.

Best Doctors in Collin County 2018

How do I make nominations?

Please click here to nominate. The form will close on October 15.

How are winners selected?

The Best Doctors in Collin County are determined through a peer-review voting process. We contact thousands of local, licensed doctors from our online directory, inviting them to vote. The votes are counted, then presented to an anonymous panel of esteemed physicians for discussion. D Magazine verifies each doctor’s medical license, board certification, and disciplinary status to finalize the list.

Why can I not nominate physicians in certain specialties?

Because the Best Doctors in Collin County feature is smaller than our Best Doctors in Dallas feature, there are fewer categories. D Magazine presents a list of specialties to our panel each year for discussion, so they may change in the future. We welcome reader feedback; please email [email protected] with comments.

Why isn’t pediatrics a specialty?

The Best Pediatric Specialists feature published in our October issue includes dozens of subspecialties, from allergy/immunology to surgery. Creating a general Pediatrics category for this Best Doctors in Collin County feature would fail to acknowledge these subspecialties.

Why not have a full Best Pediatric Specialists in Collin County feature?

Because of the location constraints, the Best Doctors in Collin County list is curated and short. Thus, a Best Pediatric Specialists in Collin County list would simply be too small to properly represent all specialties. Please know that you can nominate any pediatrician you’d like for the Best Pediatric Specialists feature in the October issue. There is no location constraint—winners can practice anywhere in the metroplex.

When will the winners be announced?

D Magazine will contact winners in January.
